Midterms a sure fire look at the 2012 Presidential Election

40 days out from the midterms and I read the news and watch the news and listen to the news and one thing becomes clear, the Democrats and Republicans, are using the midterms as an acid test for how to go forward in 2012. As I sat watching the worst example of far left television talk shows Ms. Rachel Maddow, I threw up a little in my mouth. When in America did our news channels become so biased? Why do we support them? I generally like the news reporting of MSNBC but when the political shows come on I change channels, why? Ummm Keith Olberman for example he has flipped and flopped on so many issues, on so many occasions he has proven to be any ones dog that will hunt. While still an obvious far left winger supporting the deadly policies of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and of course Diane Finestien. I would Mention President Barrack Obama but he is simply the marionette with the strings being pulled by his far left "handlers" The shame of the 2008 election is not just that Senator John McCain didn't win, but that if he had to loose Hillary Clinton couldn't have won. You see at least with Hillary, you know she would have run to the center for cover and would have been a  more centrist Democrat, but alas we got what we deserved because we didn't turn out and actually vote. In the greatest country in the world, why is it that we have not had consistent 70-80% turn out to vote? Why is it that among registered voters we are lucky to get a 40% turnout.

The far left is attempting to say that republicans are trying to take away funding for the VA. (Veterans Administration Hospital/Health care System), or to get rid of the VA or to privatize the VA, knock it off its not true you know it and I know it. I am a Gulf War Veteran from 1990 and I receive the best care imaginable, President Lincoln wanted it that way for the US Veterans. Republicans want nothing more than to continue the VA, but to improve the care. It is a fact that many Doctors in specialized care area's are fresh out of college with the ink still wet on their credentials. The Voucher system would allow a veteran such as myself with a very tricky spinal cord injury the ability to go to the best hospitals in the Country hand them a voucher and get the best specialist in the Country to fix me. DO NOT LET the far left to fool you do some research.

AMERICA PLEASE READ...we can control our elections simply by showing up, I have said it before and I will say it all the way up to the 2012 Presidential Elections and beyond, Political Choices are made by those who show up. I am a Conservative Christian Republican, I believe in a balanced budget and a strong as hell military, but more than anything, I am an American. I vote. We all need to take part in the voting process to make an effect. If we don't vote we need to not complain, I would like to introduce a bill that says if you do not vote then you loose your drivers license, but free will, and  freedom of speech are parts of what make this Country great.

As I saw a small group of Republican Senators trying desperately to bring back Newt Gingrich's contract for America, I was mesmerized, we are so far beyond a contract with America, that contract was broken during the Clinton Administration by both parties I might add. The reason I was so mesmerized was that neither party gets it, Americans no longer want to have the same old dung heap thrown at them, they want fresh new idea's. Polls show Americans want the pledge of allegiance to include "One Nation Under God", polls show we are in fact a Christian Country by an 80% margin ( this of course makes me wonder if 80% of Americans actually know what the term Christian Means) Polls show we want our money to continue to read In GOD We Trust, yes we have diversity we have Muslims, and Hindu's and Buddhist's but if you listen to the far left you would think that Christians are the minority.

The United States Office of the President deserves a tremendous level of respect, so much so that I am unable to comprehend how much in terms of putting it into words. I pledge here and now to Always respect the Office, not necessarily the man. However I will always refer to the person occupying the office as Mr. or Ms. President. I have never liked, and have cringed when I hear someone say Mr. Obama or Mr. Bush, weather or not you like these men and hopefully one day Women or their politics, they are in the Oval Office representing the people of America around the world, they give up a tremendous part of their life to Govern. I do not believe that there has ever been a President that has run for office in the hopes of making the country or its people worse off intentionally. To that end President Obama's personal religion should not be a matter of nor a measure of his performance lets all agree to let that one go. Personally I don't think President Obama would want to run again in 2012 but maybe he is a gluten for punishment.

Rand Paul, Rand Paul, Rand Paul, I want a Republican to win this fall, while I personally like Jack Conway he is a nice enough man, I am a republican. I sat today and read the quote for the October issue of GQ, your attempt to liken chaos in America to the 1933 Election of Hitler (of course you said 1923 but okay), then I just started to rub my eyes and shake my head, and attempt to figure out what the hell you actually said. Dr. Paul please get some one who can prepare statements for you, learn to speak intelligently when asked questions, let me give you some sage advise given to me by the first guy to teach me how to be a salesman, use the anachronism K I S S keep it simple stupid. If you loose this election (and it appears lately that this is in fact your goal so far) Senator Jack Conway will become the next Senator to retire in his 90's from this seat. Dr. Paul you got in this race for whatever reason, that is your personal business, but you have a responsibility to your supporters to take your own campaign more seriously. I know the work I have done in the past for the Republican Party in Jefferson County Kentucky and for specific Candidates in races, I want to help my party win this seat but you just keep making it harder and harder for me to pull the lever in your favor. Please Dr. Paul take a look at the folks around you, advising you, and do less talking and more listening, I guarantee that none of them cringed any less than I did when reading the quote for GQ magazine for the October Issue.

Lastly, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation UNDER GOD indivisibly with liberty and justice for all.

Thank you for reading and good night.

Kevin
