We the People







I love to read the US Constitution, the framers and writers of the time made the pages jump to life with the language and progressive nature of their writing.Every line I read makes me smile with the thought that there is in deed a reason that we are the greatest nation on earth, our founding fathers took the best dreams in the world in there time and reached for the stars, they wanted the best for all of the generations to come. They got it right and then some, I mean just the preamble alone,









"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.",

This was considered such forward thinking in its day, and was fairly risky. The founders and framers of the declaration of independence, and the US CONSTITUTION had to sell every word and phrase to the Continental Congress and to the leaders of the 13 Colonies. When I read the preamble there is no partisanship, there was no political wrangling, there is no evidence of self serving politics, earmarks, and pork barrel spending. How then did the framers of this most important piece of paper come to agree on every word and every nuance contained?

I believe that they had no other choice, such as the United States in 2010. We have no choice but to go back to the original document and learn a lesson about the common good of the American People. As a journalist I have been guilty of being partisan many times as Politics is a subject that brings out the best and worst in all of us but we know that our government has come to a point where we are so far away from what Americans seem to want, but we are in that place where no one seems to put the politics of personal maneuvering aside for the good of the people. The Tea Party was supposed to do that, but instead they elected some freaks! Rand Paul? His stated goal? to repeal the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990......America is in financial crisis, we are borrowing money at an alarming rate from the Chinese to cover our bills and Rand was wronged by a man in a wheelchair so he has made the repeal of this law top priority......this seems to be a trend. We the People cant stand for this any more. Abraham Lincoln started the VA Hospitals to care for those whom have born the burden of war. He didn't have any fight from the house and the senate, it was a good move then and a good move now. Use the VA's effectiveness as a model for a government run health care system and get every one covered period.





Health care aside, we have allowed the media in this country to lead us around by the nose steering us to the stories that they want us to see, all the while yelling at the news Anchorman on the television set.We need much more free media we need people to read and listen to the truth. American broadcasters have lost sight of there duty, this was never more evident than when Dan Rather tried to change a Presidential Election with a forged phony document, the worst part was that he knowingly did it. It cost him his job and his reputation and his producers job. He did it to try and influence a presidential election, and he was never even charged with a crime, he was guilty of fraud, but Americans let it slide, it just wasn't sexy enough, to be news worthy.






We as a nation continue to turn out only roughly half the registered voters in major elections but yet we feel the right to complain but not get involved. It's exactly like the ostrich that sticks his head in the sand at every problem. The one difference that gives me hope is the 2010 midterm elections where Americans turned out in record numbers that spoke volumes, they told the incumbents to start packing and voted change, they decided cash for clunkers and a trillion dollars poured into the economy without input from the people was wrong. Americans will look for a new President in 2012 and we will get what we need hopefully rather than what we deserve (which is what we got in the 2008 election). We learned that smooth fast talk and rhetoric will kill us every time, lets go for track record of success longer than an elementary school career, and a by GOD born in America American that can prove it. Urban legend or not there is enough out there to have people wondering and it needs to be answered.

If not for the US Arabian Oil Company ARAMCO , Saudi's might not know to this day that they had oil under there very feet.The oil embargo of 1973 that  brought long lines at US gas stations and signs dauntingly saying NO GAS nearly crippled America and what lesson did we learn? We created the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and we set cafe' standards demanding that American Automobiles get no better gas mileage than they were getting before the embargo, the standards to be ramped up over the next fifteen years. When California got tired of the smog and pollution they demanded that Car makers produce zero emission vehicles and in 1996 Chevrolet produced 1000 all electric cars called the EV1, when the leases ran out on those cars and the zero emission law had been repealed, GM  in 2002 recalled all the cars and destroyed them, even though 7 out of every ten owners wanted to buy them off lease. They were a tremendous success. GM realized that a car with few moving parts and few parts that wear out would destroy the value in owning a dealership, the recurring service. Imagine no oil changes no spark plugs no tune ups no radiators no coolant systems to overheat. We need to continue to get American auto makers to produce electric cars tied to solar charging stations at our homes, and make them in record numbers. Let Americans have an electric car for the active errand running we are famous for but let us have a second car bigger a hybrid gas electric for our long drive vacations, this could save us trillions in import costs of oil. Lets get off the Arabian peninsula's oil tit and put America right. We might just even help the environment and go a little greener. You know that when I was researching the EV1 all electric car by Chevrolet, leasers of the car said it was fast, very fast, in fact faster than a Porche off the line, and it gave the 911 a real run for it in the quarter mile. Operating cost was about 1/3 that of a gasoline engine, it bears saying again so here goes.... with no radiator to overheat and blow hoses no toxic antifreeze and no oil changes. hmmmmm just imagine. This technology was available in 1996 the EV1 record stands for itself, how much was GM executives paid by Aramco, the Saudi's and other OPEC nations to scrap all 1000 cars, or was it just the very thought of the monetary loss to the dealerships on service? We will never know but one thing is clear, the cars worked and GM should be ashamed to have taken bailout money when they were part of the problem. They should have pioneered the EV1 and the electric car, and led the charge, but corporate greed took over as it often does, and the evil demons shouted down the angels in the corporate ear begging for the right choice to be made, and we all paid the price.

The Office of the President of the United States of America

 
Well the midterms are over, speaker Pelosi has been dethroned as it were. Harry Reid held on much to my upset stomach, and Rand Paul that anti- ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Jack-wagon got himself elected in his new carpetbagging home of Kentucky. John McCain won his re-election bid, as if that was ever in doubt.(Sarah Palin got a new reality TV show Sarah Palin's Alaska). The best our President could say was he wasn't sure this midterm's result was a rebuke of his policies and lack of achievement on his promises. Really what did he think? That we voted to turn over 40%+ of the politicians for the fun of it? Just as I posted that Bipartisan politics is the only way to get the job done. I have repeatedly said that respect for the Office of the President is given regardless of who holds the office.  I have always kept that promise, and I urge all of my readers to respect the Office of the President, even in their disgust over gridlock and broken promises. Eventually our leaders through PEACEFUL OVERTHROW OF OUR GOVERNMENT VIA ELECTIONS will get what our founding fathers meant, that the government shall fear the citizens and never again shall the citizens fear the government.

Why then was it appropriate for our President to pretend he was Jay Leno with the whole put the car in d for Democrats when you want to get something done and Reverse for republicans when you want to go backwards, then laugh about it? Mr. President are you trying to disgrace to the Office to which you hold? Your job is to unify our country, not drive a wedge further and further down the center of it. Did you actually believe that by bashing republicans you would retain the majority? Did it in any way glorify the Office of the President, or did it make the office look cheapened? Wait don't answer that you'll just try another
lame joke about something the American people take very serious, like jobs, security, banking, the economy. Americans spoke at the polls, they are giving the folks in office a last chance to do the peoples work, or be replaced again in the next election. Mr. President for you this is 2012. No-one wants to see you fail Mr. President in fact when you fail we all fail. Please Mr. President please get serious about your job, my children can't afford you to spend your way to the high ground. Every President has had to work under adverse conditions for as long as we have been a country. Most of them did the job with dignity, even yes in the recent times President Carter although not one of my favorite Presidents for his foreign policies, his domestic agenda or his financial views was a man of unimpeachable integrity while representing the Office of the President. Ronald W Reagan wrote a diary every day he was in office and through reading this diary I can tell you he felt every day when he got up that he had to do the peoples work. The office came first. I am only half way through his diary but I am amazed at the bipartisan breakfasts he hosted the sheer numbers of them alone are incredible maybe because he was the last great President to reach across party lines to beg for bipartisanship, and actually govern all the while defeating the USSR's form of Communism, perhaps the most repressive in the world. President George H.W. Bush was another example of Bipartisan effort as was President Clinton ( although with President Clinton I can't say he didn't disgrace the office by lying and accepting a censure for it and surviving an impeachment) My point being it is time for President Obama to stop being caught in the headlights of the limo's, the staff, the personal use 747, and realize he works for us, and needs to get going and get something done. Something that the country agrees on, not something he and his far left puppet masters force through.

On to Wall street, and the Biggest Shell Game ever played in this country with our Children and grand children's futures. You see the government back during President Clinton's Administration eliminated by repeal, the Glass Steagall act (The Banking Act of 1933 was a law that established the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in the United States and introduced banking reforms, some of which were designed to control speculation. It is most commonly known as the Glass–Steagall Act, after its legislative sponsors, Carter Glass and Henry B. Steagall. Some provisions of the Act, such as Regulation Q, which allowed the Federal Reserve to regulate interest rates in savings accounts, were repealed by the Depository Institutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980. Provisions that prohibit a bank holding company from owning other financial companies were repealed on November 12, 1999, by the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act. The repeal of the Glass–Steagall Act of 1933 effectively removed the separation that previously existed between Wall Street investment banks and depository banks and has been blamed by Me for exacerbating the damage caused by the collapse of the subprime mortgage market that led to the Financial crisis of 2007–2010. The potential to make enormous profits trading mortgage-backed securities with artificially high ratings encouraged banks to take on otherwise intolerable risk in the form of bad loans. The ease with which people were obtaining home loans contributed to an artificial housing boom and exacerbated the inevitable decline.CMO. As money managers we were told they were AAA rated and backed by the government we were told to sell them to all our clients and that we needed to move so many millions per quarter. Upon investigating the unknown investments, we found that CMO's were nothing more than Mortgages on real estate that were lumped together in Traunches based on expected maturity rates. What was not taken into consideration was some people prepay their mortgage by selling the home and moving and some people default and some people keep the house forever and pay off the loan and lastly some people make double payments making a 30 year mortgage a 15 year mortgage. What does all this mean? Well when the subprime lenders decided to put a small amount of subprime bonds (read subprime CMO's) into the CMO's (roughly 10-15%) all hell broke loose as the traunches became unable to be predictable.Now we look to see how the international markets were effected and we find that the foreign markets followed suit with the American markets, then there were a few firms that figured out what was going on and they decided to try to do what all companies do profit from the downside. they sold off the products through credit swaps  (essentially selling the bonds short) with who??? AIG! so when the companies that had bought the credit swaps (read get out of jail free cards) found out that they were in trouble because AIG was going to be bankrupted by the billions in credit swaps, they ran to who to get help? Family, of course, Uncle Sam to be precise. They ran fast to the government to say hey you better bail AIG out before they go bust and ruin the entire banking system. Billions were made by Deutche Bank and a few other companies all a matter of record. Who pays in the end? You, Me, and our Children, the Debt Ceiling that doesn't seem to have any end in site.

What do we do about it? Start calling your congressmen and beg, no demand that they reinstate Glass Steagal and protect the integrity of the investment markets. Secondly seek to have the US Markets no longer be policed by themselves as they are now, this is like  giving the combination to the safe to a convicted thief and saying make sure they don't take the money. Rather have a congressional over site committee appointed to oversee the activities on Wall Street.  Seek law changes that would take the brokerage business out of a commission only business and make it a salaried business based on performance only, tie the Brokers compensation to the performance of the clients account, if the client makes money then the Broker makes money, if the client loses money because of a Brokers advice then the Broker surely should not get paid for that poor advice. Lastly America WAKE UP~! We don't have to all have to be lemmings, you don't need to be the last doe doe bird jumping off the cliff, you don't need to be herded along STAND UP make your voice heard write a blog call a Senator, call a Congressmen, (be careful what you call them or they may not take your call anymore).

My last recommendation is read Matt Tiabbi's latest book: Griftopia, Bubble Machines, Vampire Squids, and the Long Con That Is Breaking America! I have to say a lot of people don't like Matt, they don't like that he calls it as he See's it (most of those that don't like Matt, mostly work at Goldman Sachs), and they can't get past an article he wrote about the future death of a Pope. My comment on that get over it, he is a brilliant writer.  I got just a moment to talk to Matt while calling into POTUS on Sirius Radio channel 110 with Pete Dominick, he not only got that the repeal of Glass Steagal put the Clowns from the Banking Business into the Brokerage Business allowing them to begin selling Mortgages as investments in the first place, but was excited that I got it too. This makes him one of the few guys smarter than me, which in turn earns my respect. Keep up the good work Matt!

Saturday 10/30/2010 what about the day after Monday?




What about the day after Monday? What will happen when Wednesday morning comes? What will have happened in America?  For one, we know we have stopped a potential terrorist attack. This is one that we know of but it is nothing new. We stop potential terrorists every day, this is just one "they" felt comfortanle to share with us. What about the effects of the Mid Terms? Will we finally be rid of Nancy Pelosi and her far left reaching tactics? ( I for one, would like to see it also end Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, and on the state level Jery Brown in California really he's back again?)  There was a rally in Maryland that is all about firing Nancy Pelosi and we know the RNC chairman Michael Steele was there, wearing a fire Pelosi sweat shirt.

Does it matter? I think I have reached critical mass in regards to American Politics. Will the American people come out and make the call or will billions of corporate unmonitored donations all legal under current FEC regulations supported by the recent US Supreme Court swing this election? Is it possible for the Average American to have a say in this process that our founding fathers wanted us all not only to have a say in but wanted all of us to be actively involved in? I can honestly say that we will not know until the day after Monday.

I think the best thing that could happen is a 50/50 split between the parties give the house to the Dems and give the Senate to the republicans, or vice versa, dont give any one party all of the power, NOTHING will get done if that happens? The best thing that ever happened in American Politics I was remindd by my Brother in law Gil, happened During President Clintons second term when Dem's. lost control of  both the house and senate, retaining control of just the house. Why was this so great? It forced repeat FORCED bipartisanship. There was no way the Clinton's wanted to commit Political Suicide. They reached Across the part lines and Governed.They spent the last two years balancing the budget, passing meaningful reforms reducing the welfare rolls, and helping to make conditions favorable for small business to grow and create new jobs. ( you see Senator Reid, Sharron Angle was right, Senators Do NOT create job's they simply vote on legislation making conditions more favorable for small business to expand and hire more people......small business creates jobs not has been Senators from Nevada.).

I have found it interesting the number of Democrats trying to save thier jobs distancing themselves from President Obama. President Obama's approval rate is 48% unfavorable Job Performance 46% favorable ( source:  http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx ) this is a notable improvement in the last six months partially because the focus is off of the President, and focused on the midterms.

My prediction is that the President's approval rating will tank again once the Midterms are over. As for me, I think the midterms will do whatever Billion Dollar Corporations want it to do, right up until the FEC grows some teeth and goes after real campaign reform. The American electoral process has been shanghied by the billion dollar donations, I say billions but we will never know the true amount, why? The US Supreme Court has upheald that unlimited donations by Corporations do not need to be disclosed or monitored by the FEC? According to the US Supreme Courts Ruling in January opened the door to unlimited spending on elections by Corporations and Unions, and other groups. The decission did not affect direct corporate or union contributions to candidates; those are still banned.......huh? what? Nor did it cover spending by political action comitees run by special interests, which must disclose contributors! Huh what? where? WTF? The ruling did however free corporations and unions to spend on independants ads for and against candidates, as well as on other advocacy efforts such as mailings? In the end this blog is not meant to give legitimacy to the far left or the far right to the tea party or my block party. I am to be sure a Fiscally Conservative Centrist Republican. I am also a Federalist believing that the power should rest with the individual States, not the federal Government ( just like Ronald W. Reagan). I believe that we should reduce the size of Federal Government, wherever practical and fiscally responsible. I am an American, I served in my countries armed service and urge others to do so if for no other reason than to gain the heightened sense of Patriotism I hold dear. I love the emails and phone calls and interaction this blog has allowed me, to talk politics with people from all walks of life. I know with one of my favorite persons in the world residing in Dallas Texas, it initially appeared that we were miles apart on our beliefs but after talking through the blogs I have posted, we found out there was not much we totally disagreed on and there was some we agreed in principal but broke down on funding but the best thing is that we talked about it and we are close, that gives me hope that in the House and the Senate when the blood letting is over that they will all sit around and talk for once openly, and find common ground, and return American Politics to the prominence it once held as the design for Democracy around the world.

I have always felt a duty and honor for my country I will not ever agree with burning the flag, or those that consider themselves witty and hang their flag upside down when an election does not go their way ( an international sign of distress) but I do agree that the freedom of speech and expression gives them that right. To use an old saying from the Vietnam War era, "America love it or leave it man." This is our Country, our home, it is who we are, the most charitable nation on earth. The defenders of freedom and safety around the globe. We are judged and viewed differently by the nations of the world with every administration, that is the greatest gift our forefathers gave us, the founding fathers gave us the freedom of election and democracy, the ability to change the way we are viewed worldwide every 4 or 8 years, all in all I love this place, and I love my fellow Americans, and all I have to say is God Bless America, give us all the courage to go out on the day after Monday and vote our conscience, and do the best we can. Lastly,

Bring on the Mid Terms and can someone Please get Ms. Pelosi a dolly to clean out her office!





As we inch ever closer to the 2012 midterms the Republicans are looking at a victory by all accounts. We will be done with Ms. Pelosi as speaker of the house, her glaring, sneering, downright nasty looks. Her backdoor politics and perhaps a separating of the strings she has had attached to the president making him her personal marionette. Maybe not, we may never know the full extent that President Obama sold his sole to the Uber Liberals like Pelosi, Boxer, Finestein,Reid, and others that remain nameless, and shameful.












Nancy Pelosi may not go down as the worst Speaker of the house but I for one can't tell you why. Quite the contrary I think she should be categorized as the worst speaker of the house ever in the history of our country. She has been one of the most ruthless, self serving self absorbed minutia struck useless excuses for a politician I have ever seen. She has never understood what the founding fathers had in mind for our country and she has never wanted more than to drag our country into a pit where there is no Moral value to life, where people are free to do anything they want regardless of the consequences to those that surround the offending citizen.we all have freedoms that are inalienable rights this is an inherent right in the vein of the pursuit of life liberty and happiness, however there once existed a Moral imperative that dictated to almost all people that there were moral rights and wrongs. Nancy Pelosi has thrown these all out the window and would have America a virtual free for all if left to her. Thank god for the midterms, and thank God for the departure of Nancy Pelosi!

Now do I blame her for America's problems.....NO MAM/SIR, she is but part of the problem. Do I blame the politicians? No way in hell. Do I blame the system? NO then who you ask? Well the answer is clear you and I are to blame. We vote or don't vote and we get what we deserve. I am not talking just about the beer drinking redneck living in the double wide, why? because believe it or not, exit polling shows they vote. The folks that don't are the middle age  upper blue collar lower white collar Americans 26-45 years old, and the newly able 18 year old through 25 year old and the senior citizens who are no longer mobile. Who does that leave? Well the upper White collar 45 year old and above wealthy folks, the same age group of poor folks, and the seniors who have not yet lost their mobility. we have less than a 50% turnout at major election times and usually less than a 40% turnout for the midterms and off year elections. We need to get all Americans to the polling booth and get their voice heard. Why is it some people do not think that their vote counts why do people think they have no voice? We need to be good stewards of our country and teach our children the process of the vote and why we all need to vote our founding fathers and framers of the constitution risked their life for the right to vote. It is that simple register to vote then just do it, without being a part of the process how then can you complain about the outcome or the government  that we have? Now to digress about the role of Speaker of the house and their importance in US Politics

Tip O'Neill was Speaker of the House for 9 years 350 days ranking him 2nd in US history in terms of length of service. Second only to Sam Rayburn ( who served 17 years and 53 days) Tip O'Neill was a liberal, he was an in your face House Speaker throughout his time as speaker and during the Reagan Administration. However, there was an unwritten rule of respect between the President and the Speaker even though they were on the opposite sides of the isle. They had a mutual respect for the Office of the United States President Not so with Speaker Pelosi, I believe she has more to do with the rise of the TEA PARTY formation and small victories they have achieved, then anyone else in politics today. Tip O'Neill disagreed vehemently with President Reagan on so many different things but never lost his respect for the Office of the President and in the case of President Regan the man. They had what many have called the truly gentlemanly debates. Even dining together on a regular basis to try and find common ground. The speaker of the house represents the party with a majority when that party and the party of the President of the United States are different legislating can be difficult at best. Everything gets to be a game of political brinkmanship. Everything can be open for a campaign issue, bills can be delayed to be used as campaign tools. Here are some area's that change need to be effected. I think if more Americans knew of the process, we would have more people turning up at their polling precinct on voting day.

I will use information supplied by the OEMB during the Regan Presidency which stated that the Democrats through control of either the White house or Senate and House ran up deficit spending for 45 years before President Reagan took office, and during the most recent Bush administration (republican) ran up tremendous deficits largely fighting wars on two fronts at a cost of over 80 Billion dollars a quarter for a nearly 6 year period. Personally being a Gulf War vet I supported the invasion of Iraq, not because of the reasons the Bush administration gave, but because we left the job unfinished in 1991. We left a despot in control of a country that failed to follow through with his terms of surrender in 1991 and he continued to flaunt his disregard for the UN and its 97 separate resolutions condemning his treachery. Sometimes a good guy needs to step in when a bully is suppressing the little guy.

Okay so what does this have to do with the midterms? well all of this has played into the total frustration that Americans feel for the shape of the country. As president Bush left office, it became clear that all of the money going into the war did severe harm to our economy. The election of 2008 which should have been about the ending of the war and repairing the economy was diverted into a finger pointing session allowing the Election to be stolen by smooth talks and promises that have yet to be accomplished. The Guantanamo Bay prison was to be closed in the first 100 days, nope the tribunals were to be moved to NY court rooms nope, we are going to get the economy back on track.....so far over a trillion dollars dumped into the us economy but none of it into the hands of small business but into the hands of wall street companies and insurance companies that made bad decisions. The truth of the matter is that the Glass Stegal Act repealed by President Clinton allowed Banks to buy up Brokerage Companies and sell mortgages as investments as CMO's or Collateralized Mortgage Obligations without telling the investing public what the real dangers were, I know this as fact, I was a Broker asked to sell these securities as bonds backed by the government to my clients (which was only partly true). By allowing these investments to be sold, additional investment capital was raised which was used to invent the sub prime investment market for mortgages, which led to the overbuying of homes via adjustable rate mortgages, which led to the home foreclosures that almost bankrupted the US Economy and may yet. Put all this together and you have for the first time since the great depression an American Populous that is fed up and frustrated with politicians in general. America wants change, and I think the problem will be change at any cost. We may lose some great public servants in what I believe will be a carnage on both sides of the isle.

This can be the most dangerous part of change on a level to the degree we are about to see. As we vote out the incumbents and we fill the house and Senate with new members we will tend to lose some of the leadership the senior leadership and if we are not careful we could end up with an entire house and congress with no Idea of how to make a bill or pass a law or to legislate. I hope we can all make intelligent choices at the polling booths and not make rash decisions just for the purpose of change.

Doing a little light reading today and.....

Chose to read the Diary of President Ronald Wilson Reagan. I am amazed by the man, humbled to read his personal thoughts, and learn the way he thought about many things and many people, but more than anything I was gratified to find that he was exactly the type of man that I thought he was all the years I watched him in action and hoped and prayed he was the real deal.

Reading any ones diary is often times embarrassing or uncomfortable but reading the diary of a President of the United States of America is an amazing thing, it brings you into their life and their thoughts. It makes you feel as though you are in the room with him. Ronald Wilson Reagan was a mans man, he rode horses chopped firewood and when he pointed his finger and said Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall he damn well meant it.

I find myself realizing that this man was so much like my grandfather, a man that I loved so much, and he was true to everything he believed in. He hated the fact that after the failed assassination attempt by John Hinkley, he had to wear what he called the Iron Shirt around. He got down right ornery with his secret service detail about not being able to go to church because they felt it was too dangerous, as you read on he won out and decided to go to church anyway. He lived his life the way he felt he should uncompromising on the issues he felt he had an absolute knowledge of righteousness on, and a congenial compromising side that made you feel  you won him over to your side when in fact he had been leaning your way all along.

One of the things that I loved to read in his own words is that his love for his wife and his marriage was real it was no put up job. They had a special marriage, one like I have. There are several references in his personal diary about Nancy ( he called her Mommy) being out of town and how it effected everything from his sleep to his appetite, I am the same way with my wife, its how I know our marriage is a godly based marriage.

President Reagan was truly the real deal. His formal education was in finance from Eureka College, and as I read his diary entries about the double digit inflation, and the huge budget deficits and his plan to bring it all under control you realize that he liked to surround himself with the smartest guys around not so he would have ammunition to say he was right but because he liked to double check that he was right and he was most of the time.

President Reagan took office at a time when President Carter and the Democrats had taken four years to run up the amount of deficit spending to levels that were hitting the stratosphere, all the while President Carter had slash and burned the military spending down to next to nothing. The US Military was at the smallest levels since pre World War two, and he knew that we needed to get our Military might as strong as possible, we needed to break the Soviet Communist Regime by the threat of awesome power that was NON Nuclear in nature (As a footnote I entered the United States Army under President Reagan's first term in 1984).This was an imperative, as President Reagan believed from the start that he had a chance to break through the cold war. This is evidenced by his early apprehension to sell surplus grain to the Soviet Union, something we had been doing for years before he took office. He was afraid that if we continued to sell surplus grain to the Soviets, there would be no reason for the Soviets to change or even to give pause to the idea of change.

President Reagan in his 1984 State of the Union address called for scientists to find weapons that would make Nuclear weapons obsolete, he was honest that it may take 20 years or more but that it was not just important, but a moral imperative that we make these terrible weapons obsolete, for the safety of our children's children's children. He wanted to ensure a safer place in this world for my kids, and he did. My daughter Penelope and my son Cole will never know the duck and cover drills I did in elementary school in the time of the cold war, when the real possibility of a Nuclear War loomed ever present, when the United States lived in a time where the Soviet Union actually had plans to take over the world for communism. We owe a debt of gratitude that President Reagan demanded a stronger military as well as the MX missile program at a time of double digit inflation and the 14-20% interest rates, and half a trillion dollar budget deficit, and the Democrats screaming into every available microphone that President Reagan was wasting taxpayer money on weapons while running the deficit up even higher.

Back in the Eighties the President was required to make projections to congress on where the economy would be in five years. President Reagan hated this as he felt is it was a monumental waste of time compiling all the data that was basically a stab in the dark as we had no way to make those predictions accurately then. This ridiculous ruling was repealed by executive order by President George H.W. Bush in 1989.

President Reagan took the worry to heart, he worried that his plan to fight inflation, lower interest rates and spur on the economy, would be torpedoed by his plan to build up the military, but he also knew that if he was right and he built up the military, the defense contractors would begin hiring again, the increase in the US Military would scare the Russians (it did that) and the new MX missile would force the Soviet's to the table to talk about real limitations on Nuclear build up. He also knew his tax cuts and economic package would work.

What I find out as amazing is that he was right on all counts, and when he and General Secratary of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev met in 1985 the US's views of the strength of the Soviet Economy and Military were extremely overly optimistic, and President Reagan saw the opportunity, and he went for it. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall, gave way to Perestroika and Glasnost, followed by the fall of communism and the fact that the Soviets didn't even have the capacity to feed their people, this made Salt I and Salt II possible and are responsible for the relationship we have now with the Russian Federation note the absence of the term USSR. I can't wait to read and re-read this book of his diary.

Although I am only half way through the book I find myself looking throughout the Republican Party for a 72 year old candidate for president with a John Wayne swagger, a true and unwavering love for his wife, that shows the ability and capacity for working out differences and overlooking idiosyncrasies. I want a President faithful, loyal, and true to the Office of the President of the United States of America. I need glasses because I am not finding that candidate. I will continue to look around. The American People missed that opportunity in John McCain in 2008 and I fear we will regret it for years to come.

Rahm Emanuel to Depart the White House Chief of Staff Position can I get an Amen from the choir?

Rahm Emmanuel's departure from the white house is being billed as a victory by the Obama staff, that he is leaving to get his dream job of being mayor of Chicago, that's like leaving as the CEO of Haliburton to become a bus boy aboard a Greenpeace ship. The White House Chief of Staff is tantamount to being the CEO of America, the job is not just the running of over 2000 employee's and the Presidential Office and Senior Staff, it is the job of basically running the country. The President says do this for domestic policy for the country and the COS makes it happen. Leaving this job to run for Mayor of Chicago? Hmmmm I don't think so. Perhaps our commander in Chief is at the point where he has seen his numbers tank all the way to the flush zone, and see's his hopes for re-election somewhere between slim and none and figures that if he changes the overall theme of the Office Place and the Advice he gets from his most senior of staff that he has a chance. Rahm Emmanuel was seen as a terrible choice for White house Chief of Staff originally because he was seen as so anti bipartisan that the republicans where sure to roll out a legislative agenda that did nothing but challenge the white house to a duel on a daily basis, and Emmanuel's response was always somewhere between kiss my hula hoop and bite me. No I think that President Obama decided to shake things up a little to save the possible chance for a second term. Now all he needs to do is get Carl Rove to take the job as White house Chief of Staff and actually legislating and governing might just get done, well no probably not. As you all read the report below how do you take the news? Am I crazy or do they seem ( by them I mean AP ) to be giving Rahm Emmanuel credit for all the good things that happened and blaming President Obama for all the bad? Rahm Emmanuel's Afghanistan surge? Rahm Emmanuel's health care reform? Who is it that has that semi round office next to the Chief of Staff you know that umm OVAL yea that's it Oval office isn't the President the one who gets the credit good or bad? Does President Obama think were all going to fall for the head fake or the banana in the tail pipe again? I don't think so Guantanamo bay: I promise that closing this base and trying these criminals in our legal system will be done by the end of my first year in office, ummm nope, still open. We will have total universal health care coverage...nope just a semi start ( I give President Obama a little credit on this, what he got done was hard enough but the wrong approach in my opinion) My whole point being it is not the Chief of Staff that gets the praise and blame for Presidential performance, It is the President. I am encouraged though, maybe the new Chief of Staff will point out to President Obama that the Iranians are in fact spinning up thousands of centrifuges refining Power plant grade Uranium into weapons grade Uranium and that's probably why they have kicked out the IAEA inspectors, and Achmadinijad has spun up his rhetoric about Israel. Without debating religion, America needs to always stand by Israel, not just because they are Jesus Christs Chosen People according to my bible, but because it is the right thing to do. We stick up for the underdog, and when a country the size of Rhode Island is being threatened by a neighboring country with extinction by a neighbor who is making a nuclear device we stand up and say NO YOU DON'T, and when a new president says I want to meet with this country diplomatically and see if I can talk them down toward middle ground,( what exactly is middle ground between extermination and pushing a country into the sea?) he should be voted out of office. When he has failed so miserably in his first two years in office and he decides to fire his chief of staff he should say so publicly, tell the American People that we were headed in the wrong direction and I have realized we need to change course and so I have made some staff changes. The next thing to happen should be that President Obama should hire a Chief of Staff that is a true bipartisan Executive Leader. WASHINGTON (AFP) – The White House lavished praise on the leadership of hard-charging chief of staff Rahm Emanuel Thursday, on the eve of his planned departure to run for mayor of Chicago.
Spokesman Robert Gibbs would not officially confirm fresh reports on the timing of Emanuel's departure but said President Barack Obama had scheduled a personnel announcement for Friday in the East Room of the White House.
There have been hints for days that Emanuel will be leaving to campaign for his dream job running his home city, and that Pete Rouse, a key Obama adviser will replace him in the key post on a temporary basis.
Emanuel, Obama's political enforcer, has been intimately involved in every aspect of the administration, from his Afghan troop surge to his landmark health reform, and his departure will change the complexion of Obama's staff.

A rebuke from voters for President Obama's Democrats in the congressional polls in November, I think more like a bludgeoning by the voters but time will tell. I would sure like to see someone with a calming effect on America talk to the voters and urge caution in the midterm elections. Admit that the country is frustrated and that mistakes have been made on both sides of the Isle but URGE voters to make smart choices, not to just vote a party out, or most dangerous of all to vote all incumbents out of office. This would be disastrous leaving the country with a majority of inexperience. I would rather see us go to the old age homes ( interject humorous laugh here) and find some Reganesque politicians and play it safe for a little while. I remember in Reagan's first term, double digit inflation, mortgage rates around 18-20% and a recession that just wouldn't let up, President Reagan stood fast on his Economic agenda and by the beginning of 1983 his plan was working even better than he had promised GDP increased in a single quarter by .04% almost triple what was expected, and inflation was kept in check. Caution is what we need although caution with firm resolve for change. I don't believe that President Obama will really want a second term and I also believe that another Democrat will challenge him and maybe it will be his VP, Joe Bidden ( which as a Republican would be a damn smart thing to do, split with President Obama on the basics, use his son serving in the military and site fundamental differences in our use of force policies). When was the last time we saw a liberal Democrat in favor of wielding our military might? I am hoping that by the end of the Midterm elections we have our Field of challengers put forward by the Republicans, Mike Pence of Indiana is a good choice, perhaps too conservative and soft spoken to make a strong run at it, but a great choice, and a damn fine man of character and trustworthiness. At least at a minimum we can break the logjam by taking back the house and maybe the senate as well but always remember that decision's are made by those that show up and yes your vote does count probably now more than ever. The Declaration of Independence a brief review

The framers of the Declaration of independence were incredible men, they risked their lives to tell an oppressive government that they had had enough. Today we don't have those same brave men. We don't have awesome men willing to run for office, because the Press today has powers the framers never dreamed of.

We have allowed the press to dig so far into the pasts of potential candidates that they are forced to drop out of races because in the sixth grade they smoked a cigarette in the bathroom with four friends they haven't seen since sixth grade. Our candidates today are scrutinized in ways that the framers could not have possibly hoped to imagine, nor would they have tolerated. They envisioned the citizen politician the farmer politician that would go to Washington and serve a term or two and come home, their obligation to there country fulfilled.In essence the framers of the Deceleration of Independence and the drafters of the United States Constitution envisioned term limits.

The far left says we have term limits they are called elections, the far right is against term limits because it could do harm to all the pac money they spend to get Conservative Christians elected, what is needed to pass a term limits amendment is more Reagan Democrats and centrist Republicans and a majority republican House and Senate. However in today's world the election is a bought and paid for event. A Senator elected today needs to start raising $2000 per day for their re-election campaign. How then are they actually doing the work of the people they were elected by if so much of their time is spent trying to save their Gig? Term limits make sense, maybe not a limit of one term or two but how about a four term limit. I think that would make sense but the Idea isn't about what I think, its about what the country thinks.

We complain about what is wrong but then we look to others to fix whats wrong. Usually we look to the politicians we are upset with to fix the problems we find with them. It is the equivalent of asking the drug dealers to please move to a different street corner. Either way they say no and now your on their hit list. Politics in this country is becoming a game of full court press instead of chess. The framers envisioned intellectual discussions and bipartisanism, not a roll up your sleeves donnybrook over getting reading books paid for and in the classroom for our children. For that matter the framers were by and large federalists meaning that they believed the US Government should allow the power over the States to rest with the States, not with the Federal government.

This was then an incredibly inflamatory statement being made to the King of England to let him know enough is enough, it was bold thinking it was loud expressionism it was the equivelent of asking the King to Step Outside and put up his dukes. Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. In other words we have to give our consent for power to the government over we the people. We need to stand as a nation to our leaders and force them to read the Declaration of Independece outloud once a week in the house and senate until they get that we get what it's all about. We give our consent to be ruled by our government, the government today acts as though they give us the right to live under their rules, that we do not have the power to make that decission, and this is one of those things that must change.
 In order to change this, we need more people involved in the process, and these people need to be informed as to what our framers of the government envisioned. We need to make sure the vision of these great men who gave us so much of themselves lives on, that we continue to carry the torche they lit and handed down. No one believes that progress should ever stop or that the framers thought the work was done and complete this is eveidenced by our money take out a one dollar bill and look at the back of it, at the pyramid and the Latin Words Annuit Coeptis roughly translated He (GOD) favors our good works, further evidencing the fact that we are a country of Christians by an overwhelming majority of 83%, this is not meant in any way to downplay the Awesome Americans that are Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, eccetera. The money says GOD favors our good works not the Christian GOD, not the Hindu God or the Jewish GOD it says GOD, why? Because freedom of worship was one of the tennants of the declaration of independence.

I sit here in my home in the United States of America, in the Commonwealth of Kentucky having been appointed a Kentucky Colonel by former Governor Ernie Fletcher, (http://kycolonels.org/) and blessed more than I could ever have imagined, I don't want to ever give the impression that I am unhappy with America, I am a combat veteran of the United States Army and believe that I live in the best country in the history of the world. I simply want to see America continue to grow in a way that honors our Founding Fathers!

More Iranian rhetoric, with little hope of relief for our Israeli brothers.....

While this short Blog Post doesn't do a whole lot to stay within it's stated goals of pointing out the constitutionality of our political process, none the less I feel it's important to say the following:

When  Iranian President  Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made comments at his appearance at the United Nations and began his speech with the bizarre claim that the US Orchestrated 9/11, the diplomats of several countries got up and made no attempt to keep their departure quiet, (in fact they walked past doors that would have made their leaving less noticeable) they wanted to make it known that although he may be the President of a Country he is in fact nothing more than a thug and a madman.

Here is the crux of my post tonight, why haven't we and other countries walked out every time he makes the claim that he is going to push the Zionists into the sea, when he talks about exterminating the Jews like rodents, when he says that they must work towards a goal of a world free of Zionists, why doesn't everyone get up and walk away? In fact why doesn't someone walk up to the podium and "bitch slap" this two bit joke? I mean really he is nothing more than a crazy man that just says whatever he thinks into any microphone put in front of him. I for one think that the Mossad should have one of their best and brightest switch the microphone that he is to use with one that spurts a special potion in his face that turns him Jewish, then he should be forced to spend the rest of his life walking in open air markets in Israel or riding the public bus system throughout Israel so he can see the fear that Jesus's chosen people live in every day of their existence.

This is 2012, and I guess I am just having a little bt of a problem understanding why the greatest country on earth just sits Idly by and allows this madman to have his time in the sun? Why do we allow him a visa to enter this country to speak at the UN? Isn't there a precident where we have banned dictators from comming to America? I mean it should be simple no  Mr. Ahmedinijad you can not enter The United States, why? Well because your Nuckin Futz thats why.

Israel is the size of Rhode Island, they are our Ally, and the Jewish People are just trying to survive in the promised land. The reason that none of these so called madmen have not tried to attack Israel directly is because we have said if you mess with them your messing with us and therefore subject to an ass kicking at the hands of the most powerful Army in the World.

The current US administration has done little if anything to help in the Iranian subject, he talked a great game during the election in 2008. He wanted everyone to know that he needed to open talks because he was so good at talking that he could talk the Iranians down from there nasty position towards Israel as well as the suppression of their own citizens. All the while allowing Mahmoud Ahmadinijad to steal the presidency yet again, and doing nothing to stop several thousand centrifuges from spinning up and turning out weapons grade uranium all for what the Iranians call peaceful purposes. Peaceful Purposes? Highly enriched uranium isn't any good for much of anything except for making nuclear weapons of mass distruction.

I often wonder if the entire world could just drop their political or business aspirations and just join hands and minds across the planet in support of an Iran that opens up their nuclear facilities to IAEA inspections and get rid of the nut jobs running the country and demand the moderates and pro western reformers have the freedom of speech that all people should be able to have. While walking out of the UN when this mad man begins his speech may show him that the diplomats have no respect for him the whole world needs to do the same. We need to push for the whole world to walk out on him.

The Israeli's need to know that even the average Americans support standing beside Israel, and almost every single military man and woman serving in our Armed Forces feels as if Israel is not just an Ally but an extension of the people they are sworn to protect. I appreciate Israel's restraint in not attacking the nuclear facilities Iran has been feverishly building. I believe they know the difficulty that it would cause but I applaud Israel for their restraint as they live every day under the threat of terrorist bombs in open air markets, yet they survive, and they fight on asking only for peace and the ability to co exist with their neighbors. So in closing walking out of the room when a madman talks is the first step not allowing him in the building is the second.

The Far Left Wing (wing nuts) are at it again over the VA read on........



In the last two weeks I have heard so much about how Senator and Hero John McCain wanted to privatize the VA and incorporate it into some kind of risky Wall Street run privatized entity. I have never read so much and heard so much BUNK from the wing nuts of the left. I am a Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served and would do so again if I were healthy enough to. Instead I spend a lot of time at the local VA hospital, I volunteer there and I use the services there I am confined to a wheelchair after multiple back surgeries, but that's not Germaine to the blog, other than to say I surely use the services of the Veterans Administration Hospital and Health care System.

Let me say first I have never ever been treated with as much respect as I am at the VA (I use the VA Hospital where I live in Louisville Kentucky which is a yearly best award winner pretty consistently) at any private health care office. Additionally there are signs in the waiting room that say if you have not been called back to see the Doctor after 15 minutes after signing in, please check in back at the desk to ensure we have not overlooked you....amazing my former private Doctor didn't care if I waited an hour or more.

I often times bring my camera to take pictures and talk to World War II veterans as well as Vietnam Veterans as well. I Always talk to the other Vets. the topic this week was ......yup you guessed it, the privatization of the VA. Let me hit you with the fine points, is John McCain trying to privatize the VA? NO! Is he proposing something new? Yes! Here is what's on the good Senators mind, vouchers! As soon as the discussion in the coffee shop came to this I had all kinds of questions, even from employees. Read the proposal from the Senator and what you find from my hero, is that he simply wants to give veterans more options. Let me explain in greater detail using me as a hypothetical guinea pig with a bad heart.

Okay so I go into the local VA with Chest Pain shortness of breath and a general feeling of a house sitting on my chest (all this hypothetical to show Senator McCain's plan) and the Doctor in the emergency room admits me and pages the on call Cardiologist on duty, he walks into my room and I realize that he is younger than any Doctor that I have ever met, he says I need immediate open heart surgery and I can tell by the sound in his voice that he is really wanting to reach for the rib spreaders for the first time, he has that I always wanted to work on a transmission look on his face and he is telling the nurse to go get the consent forms right now. What now, I just found that the only option for my surgery, is the Doctor not old enough to shave, (in fact, he uses the cream on the face and call the cat mode) and I certainly do not have the warm fuzzy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I ask for the senior Cardiologist and he smiles and says I'm him. Now what am I going to do?

Well if Senator John McCain had his way and the far left wingers would go on vacation as a group long enough to get some governing done, I could politely ask the nurse( in a whisper) who brings the consent forms for me to sign...please get me a private sector Voucher....pretty please QUICK!!! Yes that's right that is all the good Senator is trying to do is give the Va users who by the by are guys like me who volunteered to stand a post for the safety of their country, a chance to use the best of the best of the best Sir!

Why do the liberal left wing nuts have a problem with this? Damned if I know, but it's probably the same reason they claim that the Republicans are trying to campaign on the successes of the Democrats Health Care Plan. To be clear there are some good things that the Democrats got done on health care, and mostly they were bipartisan victories achieved through the give and take push pull that is the norm on the hill. Republicans mostly are setup to attempt a repeal of the health care bill, and at the very least a total overhaul of what was done under President Obama's Administration.

Here is one of the funny things though, in all of my use of VA services, I have not run into a situation where such a voucher would even had come into consideration to me. The folks at the VA are young, maybe a lot of the Doctors are on their first gig, but they care, they are well educated and they are competent. Do I support the voucher amendment that the good Senator from Arizona is trying to get introduced on the floor for a discussion? You Betcha! Will it ever see a vote? Nope, not as long as the current administration is in office as they would rather increase federal spending enough to go out and recruit the best of the best of the best Sir, to come to work at the VA, hell they would probably put them on the government payroll directly with Nancy Pelosi signing their paychecks. I hope my humor over this issue is clear, I wanted to make sure that all of the readers of my blog understand that even though I make light of the situation, the left is now creating stories to scare the likely voters into confusion so that they can ride in on the proverbial white horse and fix it all just in time for the midterms. As I always say decision's are made by those who show up, weather you agree with me or not, weather your a Left Wing Nut or a Right Wing Nut or a Centrist Reagan Democrat co-operating with the republicans about to be back in power ( I can hope and dream) you have to engage, show up, make a difference VOTE, call or write your Senator, work on a campaign of a local good guy seeking a local office. You must we must all do more to engage in the political process. Our founding fathers wanted us to be involved, we have a moral responsibility to the memories of those fine wise men who declared us to be our own free Country, who threw off our oppressors and rolled up their shirt sleeves and drafted the most important document in the world (I am flattered but it's not this blog) The United States Of America's Constitution.

Midterms a sure fire look at the 2012 Presidential Election

40 days out from the midterms and I read the news and watch the news and listen to the news and one thing becomes clear, the Democrats and Republicans, are using the midterms as an acid test for how to go forward in 2012. As I sat watching the worst example of far left television talk shows Ms. Rachel Maddow, I threw up a little in my mouth. When in America did our news channels become so biased? Why do we support them? I generally like the news reporting of MSNBC but when the political shows come on I change channels, why? Ummm Keith Olberman for example he has flipped and flopped on so many issues, on so many occasions he has proven to be any ones dog that will hunt. While still an obvious far left winger supporting the deadly policies of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and of course Diane Finestien. I would Mention President Barrack Obama but he is simply the marionette with the strings being pulled by his far left "handlers" The shame of the 2008 election is not just that Senator John McCain didn't win, but that if he had to loose Hillary Clinton couldn't have won. You see at least with Hillary, you know she would have run to the center for cover and would have been a  more centrist Democrat, but alas we got what we deserved because we didn't turn out and actually vote. In the greatest country in the world, why is it that we have not had consistent 70-80% turn out to vote? Why is it that among registered voters we are lucky to get a 40% turnout.

 The far left is attempting to say that republicans are trying to take away funding for the VA. (Veterans Administration Hospital/Health care System), or to get rid of the VA or to privatize the VA, knock it off its not true you know it and I know it. I am a Gulf War Veteran from 1990 and I receive the best care imaginable, President Lincoln wanted it that way for the US Veterans. Republicans want nothing more than to continue the VA, but to improve the care. It is a fact that many Doctors in specialized care area's are fresh out of college with the ink still wet on their credentials. The Voucher system would allow a veteran such as myself with a very tricky spinal cord injury the ability to go to the best hospitals in the Country hand them a voucher and get the best specialist in the Country to fix me. DO NOT LET the far left to fool you do some research.

AMERICA PLEASE READ...we can control our elections simply by showing up, I have said it before and I will say it all the way up to the 2012 Presidential Elections and beyond, Political Choices are made by those who show up. I am a Conservative Christian Republican, I believe in a balanced budget and a strong as hell military, but more than anything, I am an American. I vote. We all need to take part in the voting process to make an effect. If we don't vote we need to not complain, I would like to introduce a bill that says if you do not vote then you loose your drivers license, but free will, and  freedom of speech are parts of what make this Country great.

As I saw a small group of Republican Senators trying desperately to bring back Newt Gingrich's contract for America, I was mesmerized, we are so far beyond a contract with America, that contract was broken during the Clinton Administration by both parties I might add. The reason I was so mesmerized was that neither party gets it, Americans no longer want to have the same old dung heap thrown at them, they want fresh new idea's. Polls show Americans want the pledge of allegiance to include "One Nation Under God", polls show we are in fact a Christian Country by an 80% margin ( this of course makes me wonder if 80% of Americans actually know what the term Christian Means) Polls show we want our money to continue to read In GOD We Trust, yes we have diversity we have Muslims, and Hindu's and Buddhist's but if you listen to the far left you would think that Christians are the minority.

The United States Office of the President deserves a tremendous level of respect, so much so that I am unable to comprehend how much in terms of putting it into words. I pledge here and now to Always respect the Office, not necessarily the man. However I will always refer to the person occupying the office as Mr. or Ms. President. I have never liked, and have cringed when I hear someone say Mr. Obama or Mr. Bush, weather or not you like these men and hopefully one day Women or their politics, they are in the Oval Office representing the people of America around the world, they give up a tremendous part of their life to Govern. I do not believe that there has ever been a President that has run for office in the hopes of making the country or its people worse off intentionally. To that end President Obama's personal religion should not be a matter of nor a measure of his performance lets all agree to let that one go. Personally I don't think President Obama would want to run again in 2012 but maybe he is a gluten for punishment.

Rand Paul, Rand Paul, Rand Paul, I want a Republican to win this fall, while I personally like Jack Conway he is a nice enough man, I am a republican. I sat today and read the quote for the October issue of GQ, your attempt to liken chaos in America to the 1933 Election of Hitler (of course you said 1923 but okay), then I just started to rub my eyes and shake my head, and attempt to figure out what the hell you actually said. Dr. Paul please get some one who can prepare statements for you, learn to speak intelligently when asked questions, let me give you some sage advise given to me by the first guy to teach me how to be a salesman, use the anachronism K I S S keep it simple stupid. If you loose this election (and it appears lately that this is in fact your goal so far) Senator Jack Conway will become the next Senator to retire in his 90's from this seat. Dr. Paul you got in this race for whatever reason, that is your personal business, but you have a responsibility to your supporters to take your own campaign more seriously. I know the work I have done in the past for the Republican Party in Jefferson County Kentucky and for specific Candidates in races, I want to help my party win this seat but you just keep making it harder and harder for me to pull the lever in your favor. Please Dr. Paul take a look at the folks around you, advising you, and do less talking and more listening, I guarantee that none of them cringed any less than I did when reading the quote for GQ magazine for the October Issue.

Lastly, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation UNDER GOD indivisibly with liberty and justice for all.

My First Blog

As a 44 year old Moderate Conservative Republican American man, I am as fed up with the state of American Politics as the next guy, who's to blame? Who cares! Who is going to fix it.......those that show up. We hear it all the time, my vote doesn't count, what difference does it make? All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. The latest one I love is the attempt from the left to paint the new Tea Party Movement as a bunch of crazies, and while I don't agree with a lot of the Tea Party folks, I give them credit, for being average American citizens fed up with the direction of the Republican party, feeling as though the party has strayed from its base. All except Rand Paul, he very well may be a nut.  As a Disabled American his comments on the 1990 Americans With Disabilities Act and his desire to see it repealed is crazy. Rand spend 30 days in a wheelchair without cheating, and then tell me you want the act repealed, that you would rather see the businesses themselves decide whether or not to be handicap accessible, Rand you wouldn't find a dry cleaner, dentist, or doughnut shop that was accessible to you, then lets see you flip flop.As I am a Kentuckian future blogs will be devoted to the Rand Paul/Jack Conway race.

I used to hear my grandfather tell me that there was two things I never wanted to see made sausage and laws, well folks the way things are going in Washington DC these days I might just want to see all the sausage in the world made. Things have strayed so far from the way the founding fathers planned. A US President addressing the Turkish Parliament by saying America is no longer a Christian Country? Really? America according to all polls is still an 80% Christian nation, while I myself am a Christian, that simply means I have decided to live my life according to the word of Christ, it makes me no better or no worse a politician. You see, Politicians, are the problem. Our founding fathers envisioned the citizen politician. Farmers and Carpenters and the average citizen running for a term or two then returning home to the farm to carry on having done there civic duty. What do we have today? Politicians that begin raising money for their re-election campaigns the day they are sworn in. Attempting to retire from the seat they hold. Senator Byrd 90 plus years old........hello?

Folks there is a lot wrong in our country we are slowly and steadily coming out of a terrible recession that some would say was more like a depression, but at what cost? Over a Trillion Dollars spent to stimulate the economy, but was the money given to small business, or given out to family run companies that were having difficulty.... nope. We bailed out wall street ( I guess I retired too early), we bailed out insurance companies and mortgage companies, we did nothing to help the little guy who was hurting the worst.

Today an eight month old baby carries $47,840.00 in debt. I have asked myself over and over what can I do to make a difference I am disabled and spend a lot of time unable to get around, so going door to door is out, running for office would be awesome but alas today's media only allows the rich to run. No way a guy in a wheelchair would get elected in this Country again anyway not since FDR, and I would be willing to bet that if FDR had to run in today's media someone would run a swift boat ad saying a cripple couldn't do the job.

No what's going to fix this country is simply the acts of good men who are no longer willing to sit on the fence and wait for the silver tongued Harvard, Yale and Princeton elitists controlled by the far left or far right to fix things. We need a return to Gentlemen in Office. If only Ronald Wilson Reagan were alive and in his 50's today. Well I can dream cant I? I will be here for the rest of my years blogging away honestly trying to be as fair as I can but giving my readers the up front knowledge that I am a Moderate Conservative Republican Fiscally Conservative almost to a fault, but with the belief that a balanced budget and a strong as hell military will always allow us to be the generous giving country we have been, without being challenged.

Lastly I must say that the current administration has done literally none of the things it said it would while campaigning regarding the Iran situation. While Mr. Achmadinijad continues to hurl his threats to push Israel into the sea and defies the IAEA, the United Nations, and the will of the world in its pursuit of Nuclear Weapons, the current administration decided health care, and telegraphing the moves of our military to the enemy were more important than an axis of evil charter member with thousands of centrifuges spinning up Weapons Grade Uranium. Mr. President talking isn't going to get the Iranian madmen to stop, supporting the reformists within Iran may help. Removal of the current regime through undermining there authority and helping the opposition party should be our goal. Or you could just send Nancy Pelosi over there to swing her purse at the bad men.........more to come, I promise. Lastly,
